Michael Robert Hudson

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at the Dunn Memorial Chapel in Tucumcari. Michael Robert Hudson, 24, died Feb. 5 in Overland Park, Kan. Mr. Hudson was born at Cannon Air Force Base on June 1, 1982. After graduating from Tucumcari High School in 2000, he moved to Albuquerque to attend college and continue working for Carquest. At the time of his death he was the shipping supervisor at the Carquest Distribution Center in Kansas City, Kan. He loved the sport of motorcycling and had ridden a Harley since he was 16. He had traveled extensively with his parents, including trips to Milwaukee in 2003 and to Sturgis. He was also a volunteer for Mother Road Rally. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Lynn Hudson, his sister, Sandi (Chris) Oldenberg of Boise, Idaho, and his brother, Clinton (Misty) Tompkins of Sierra Vista, Ariz. He is also survived by two nephews, Tyler Oldenberg and Gavin Tompkins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ira and Rua Parker and Jim and Thelma Hudson. Serving as pall bearers will be John Mehalovich, Karl Hauer, T.J. O'Quinn, Johnny Griego, Mark Whittington and Mel Slade In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, New Mexico ADA Camp, 2625 Pennsylvania NE #225 Albuquerque, NM 87110 Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
