Cecilio Pat Garcia Services: At 6 p.m., today at there will be a celebration of his life at the French Mortuary in Albuquerque; on Thursday there will be funeral service at First Family Church; an at 2 p.m. on Friday, there will be a memorial service at the First Assembly of God Church, 524 S. Monroe St., in Tucumcari. Cecilio Pat Garcia died suddenly Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Garcia was born in Tucumcari on Dec. 18, 1951. He lived in Tucumcari until 2004, and then moved to Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Yolanda Garcia, of Albuquerque and by his children and their spouses; John and Stephanie Veatch and their two children, John Patrick and Abigal Marie all of Albuquerque; Aaron and Jeanette Leavitt of Albuquerque; Chance and Patty Leonard of Las Cruces,N.M.; Cecilio III and Andrea Garcia and their daughter, Caitlyn Marie all of Albuquerque. Mr. Garcia is also is survived by his brothers and sisters and their spouses; Delfino and Stella Garica; Marylou Aragon; Dean and Domie Missildine; Dolores Quintana; Jimmy and Gloria Rivera; Susie Garcia; Robert Ortega, and many other family members and friends. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents Cecilio and Adela Garcia; his three brothers, Raymond Garcia, Earnest Alfred Garcia, and Earnest Garcia. Mr. Garcia owned and operated P.C.G. General Construction in Albuquerque, Tucumcari, and surrounding areas. His family said he was a God fearing, honest man who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Tucumcari Rattler Football Club, P.O. Box 86, Tucumcari, NM 88401. Arrangements are by French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd., in Albuquerque. Lynn A. Patterson Services: A memorial service will be scheduled later. Lynn A. Patterson, 72, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 ,at the Kindred Hospital in Los Angeles, folloiwng an extended illness. Mr. Patterson was born Nov. 9, 1934 in El Paso, Texas. He had been a supervisor for the Southern Pacific/Union Pacific Rail Road for over 30 years. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elkes Lodge 1172 of Tucumcari and of the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and hunting for Native American artifacts. Surviving Mr. Patterson are his wife, Maggie Patterson, of Tucumcari, his daughter, Marinda McCormick of Newcastle, Colo., and two grandsons, Luke and Louis Lynn Chesnik, of Paonia, Colo.. He was preceded in death by his son, Lonnie Patterson, in 1990. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place in California. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Calvin Wesley Gowdy Services: Have been held. Calvin Wesley Gowdy, 79, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006 in Clovis, following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 12, 1927 in Tucumcari and reared in the Porter community, graduating from the Porter High School. He moved to San Jon and worked at the parts dept. of the San Jon Implement Company for several years and later moved to Tucumcari where he worked at the Reddage Parts House. He serviced small appliances and water wells until his health failed. He loved horses, raising andtraining horses for many years. Surviving Mr. Gowdy is his son Wesley Ray Hall of Los Angeles, two sisters, Inez Brown of Portales, N.M., and Zula (Fred) Barnett of Tucumcari, a brother in law, Mervyn Hall, of Los Cruces, a sister in law Viola Gowdy, of Portales, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. C. L. Bowe of San Jon officiated at graveside servides at the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests for those who wish, donations may be made to your favorite charity in memory of Calvin W. Gowdy. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
