The following is a sample of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department, during the last few days. According to reports: Tuesday l At 6:42 p.m., a male reported that someone had tried to break into his vehicle on Second Street. A report was filed. • 10:58 p.m., an alarm was reported at a lodge on South First Street. Officers checked the building and the alarm was reset by owners. Wednesday l At 2:54 a.m., a female reported a theft at her apartment on South Seventh Street. Officers were told that a male subject had stolen a camera from her residence. Officers advised that the male subject was located and arrested for larceny, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer. l At 11:53 a.m., a probation officer requested an officer to transport a prisoner from the probation office on East Main Street. One subject was taken to the Quay County Detention Center for violation of probation. l At 12:06 p.m., a DWI probation officer requested an officer at the DWI office on Main Street. An officer arrested one male for an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant. The male subject later bonded out. l At 12:12 p.m., a female reported vandalism at the bus barn on South Sixth Street. An officer advised that one window had been broken out of a vehicle. A report was filed. l At 3:31 p.m., a male reported vandalism on West Center Street. An officer advised that three vehicles were damaged by unknown projectiles. An investigation is underway. Thursday l At 1:29 a.m., a female reported an unwanted subject in her residence on South College Street. An officer was told that a male subject was no longer wanted in her residence. The officer advised the male subject to leave the property. l At 8:18 a.m., a probation officer requested an officer at the probation office on East Main Street. The officer was told that a female subject in the lobby had an active county warrant. One female was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for a warrant issued by San Miguel County. l At 8:30 a.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking down South Eighth Street. Central dispatch advised there was a valid Municipal Court warrant. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center. l At 10:43 a.m., a female reported a suspicious vehicle outside the elementary School on South Ninth Street. An officer made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and advised that they were construction surveyors waiting for the rest of their crew. l At 6:48 p.m., a female reported a possible burglary in progress at a residence on East McGee. Officers made contact with the owner of the residence and were told nothing was taken and all was OK. l At 10:02 p.m., a male reported a burglary in progress at a residence on West Turner. Officers advised no one was at the residence when they arrived and there had been no entry into the home. The officers also made contact with the owner and were told nothing was missing.
