The Tucumcari Rattlers are set to face the Texico Wolverines. The Rattlers will play their second match up in district play against the Wolverines at 7 p.m. on Friday at Texico. “We have played Texico for many years. They are a good football team. They play great defense and we need to go into the game ready to play. We are expecting the game to be a real dog fight," Coach Dub Smith said. The 2-5 Rattlers go into Friday night’s game after a blow-out victory against the Mora Rangers 68-0. “Texico is a huge game for us," assistant coach John Span said. "The winner of Friday’s game takes a step closer to making the playoffs.” The Wolverines, 2-4, go into Friday’s game after a 48-0 loss to the Santa Rosa Lions.
