Kateri “Kat” Trujillo Services: 2 p.m. Thursday at the Logan School Gymnasium. Kateri "Kat” Trujillo, 19, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 in Lubbock, Texas. "Kat" Trujillo was born Nov. 4, 1986 in Tucumcari. She had attended and graduated from the Logan School System. She had been active with the Logan EMS and the Logan Volunteer Fire Department. She was a member of the Baptist Church. At the time of her death she had been a student at the Clovis College and was working at Joe’s Boot Shop in Clovis. Surviving are her parents, Manuel and Louisa Trujillo of Logan, father, Rick Sursa, brother Manuel I. Trujillo and his companion Tonja Hazen, and Ms. Trujillo’s companion, Larin Wheeler of Farmington. Also surviving are grandmothers Tomista Cordova of Logan and Amalia Martinez of Belen; a grandfather, Ernesto Trujillo of Albuquerque, and relatives and former school mates. Jimmy Moralez, Bobby Calbert, Stacy Crespin, Richardo Trujillo, Tony Nunez and Sammy Trujillo. Honorary pall bearers will be Chris Olguin, Max Jimeniz, Chase Kulback, Bobby Aragon, Amanda Tatum, Lisa Archuleta, and Amanda Rachor will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be at the Logan Cemetery at Logan. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home. Willa J. Dominguez Services: To be announced. Willa J. Dominguez, 55, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006 in Tahlequah, Okla., following an extended illness. Mrs. Dominguez was born Dec. 30, 1950 in Albuquerque. She grew up in Tucumcari and attended schools here through Tucumcari High School. She was married to Albert Dominguez in Las Vegas April 2, 1994. She had been employed by Bill Hodge as a bookkeeper for 16 years and had also been employed as a school bus driver for the Tahlequah Public School system. She is preceded in death by her father, Guy Fife, her sister, Pauline Benson Hines, and by a granddaughter, Madison Taylor Mathis. Survivors include her husband, Albert Dominguez, daughter, Helen "Shontelle" Clement and mother, Helen Fife, all of Tahlequah. Also surviving are three brothers, Loyde Hines of Alaska, Bob Hines of Oregon and Ben Hines of Missouri and three grandchildren. Following her wishes, she has been cremated. A memorial service was held in Tahlequah on Sept. 9, 2006 at the Reed Culver Funeral Home. Charles R. Sons Services: A memorial service is to be scheduled later. Charles R. Sons, 51, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at his home in Tucumcari. Mr. Sons was born Oct. 10 , 1954 in Lubbock, Texas. He attended and graduated from the Tucumcari Public School system. Mr. Sons was a mechanic and was one of the first students to complete the Diesel Mechanic School, which at that time was at Mesa Tech in Tucumcari. He had been a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Tucumcari. Survivors include his parents, H.J. and Clara Sons of Tucumcari and a brother, Phillip (Sheryl) Sons of Edgewood. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Dwayne Sons, and by his sister, Jennifer Arnold. Following the wishes of the family, Mr. Sons has been cremated. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Alice Martinez Garmon Services: Have been held. Alice Martinez Garmon, 52, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2006 at Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari. She was born April 2, 1954 in Tucumcari to Frank and Adella Apodaca Martinez. She was reared and attended schools in Tucumcari. Survivors include a daughter, Lanette Garmon; a son, Ricky Garmon, Jr.; two sisters, Julia Martinez and Donna Martinez; four brothers, Raymond (Kim) Martinez, Frank Martinez, Jerry (Jennifer) Martinez and David (Monique) Martinez; two grandsons, Isiah and Latham and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Frank Martinez. Leo Padget officiated services. Burial was at Tucumcari Memorial Park. Johnathan Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Jerry Lopez, Nicki Martinez, Christopher Martinez and Norman Martinez served as pallbearers. Arrangements are by Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
