QCS Staff Logan’s Lady Longhorns had a busy weekend. Logan won against Mosquero in four sets on Thursday night and win against Grady Friday night. Longhorns senior Samantha Sanchez attributed Thursday night’s win to plenty of pre-game workouts. “We have been practicing a lot,” she said. “We worked on our passing and floor work and it paid off.” Longhorns’ coach Jolene Greene said, “The ladies’ communication on the floor has greatly improved as well as their serving. We are hopeful that the momentum of all the weekend games will carry on through to Tuesday’s night match-up against Clovis Christian.” Upcoming matches The Tucumcari Lady Rattlers play Clayton today at 1 p.m. at Clayton. Logan plays San Jon at 4:30 p.m. at San Jon. The House Cowgirls will play Corona today at 4 p.m. at Corona. (The Cowgirls played in the recent Roy Tournament where they beat Clayton in five sets to play Roy for first place. The Cowgirls finished second in the tournament.) Logan plays Clovis Christian today at 5:30 p.m. in Logan.
