July 26: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received by the Tucumcari Police during the last few days. According to the reports: Saturday lAt 1:45 a.m., a male reported a fight at a lounge on West Tucumcari Boulevard. Officers advised it was a verbal argument only and that the parties were separated. lAt 6:44 a.m., a female reported vandalism on South First Street. Officers arrived and advised that someone had scratched up the hood of a van. lAt 11:56 a.m., a female reported striking a gas meter on West Mesa Vista. Officers and the Tucumcari Fire Department responded. Officers advised that the gas meter was turned off by the gas company. lAt 3:19 p.m., officers served a search warrant on East Turner. A male subject was arrested for the following: Possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. lAt 5:16 p.m., a male reported an alarm on South Lake. Officers advised that a back door was open. They checked the building and found no one was inside. They secured the building and contacted the owner. lAt 13:46 p.m., a female reported a runaway juvenile. Officers were told that a male juvenile had run away and was last seen heading toward the railroad tracks. The officers advised that the juvenile was later located and returned home. Sunday lAt 1:20 a.m., a female reported a fight at a motel on West Tucumcari Boulevard. Officers advised that it was a verbal argument only and that both parties were told to stay away from each other. lAt 4:29 a.m., a male reported a disturbance on South Third Street. Officer advised that contact was made with the subjects outside of the residence and that they told the subjects to go inside. lAt 6:17 p.m., a female reported a restraining order violation on East Tucumcari Boulevard. Officers advised that the two parties were in the same store. Officers remained on stand-by as one finished their shopping and left. lAt 7:59 p.m., a female reported disturbance on East Smith. Officers made contact with subjects who were drinking and they were told to go inside. Monday lAt 7:39 p.m., a female reported suspicious activities at a local business on South First Street. officers were told that two subjects were attempting to purchase alcohol with out an ID several times. Officers advised the two subjects had left prior to their arrival. Tuesday lAt 2:28 a.m., a male reported a domestic disturbance on South Seventh Street. Officers advised it was two female juveniles involved in a verbal argument. lAt 3:44 a.m., a male reported an unwanted subject at a local business on South First Street. Officers contacted a male subject and told him to move on. lAt 4:40 a.m., a female reported a male subject for shoplifting at a local business on South Mountain Road. Officers cited the male and he is to appear in municipal court.
