Jaramillo released

Fred Jaramillo III, 23, was released at about 5 p.m. on Thursday on $10,000 bond, a jail official confirmed late last night.
Jaramillo had been in the Quay County Detention Center since he was arrested June 13 on charges of purchasing alcohol for five minors, including 12-year-old Augustine Montiel, who drowned May 18 in a Tucumcari canal.
On Tuesday, Magistrate Judge Edwin Bruhn denied a request by Jaramillo’s attorney to lower his bond from $100,000.
