The following is a sample of calls received by Tucumcari police during the last few days. According to the reports:
Monday
• At 3:07 a.m., a female reported juveniles drinking at a convenience store. The caller said four juveniles were traveling together in a vehicle and had possibly been drinking. No contact was made.
• At 3:11 a.m., a female reported a custody dispute at Adams. The caller reported a verbal argument and feared the matter would turn physical. An officer told the people arguing it was a civil matter and needed to be settled in court.
• At 9:34 a.m., a male requested assistance at a government office. The man reported his driver’s license was missing.
• At 3:14 p.m., a female requested a welfare check at a school. The caller wanted a check on her grandson. Officers said the child was OK.
• At 4:23 p.m., a female reported a fight at First Street. The subjects left before officers arrived.
• At 5:13 p.m., a female reported an accident without injuries at Second Street. A driver was issued a citation for following too close.
• At 5:51 p.m., a male reported a vehicle in the roadway at Charles. The car had run out of fuel, but an officer said the car was legally parked.
• At 6:24 p.m., a female reported an erratic driver on Charles. The driver was reported to be driving 15 mph and weaving. No contact was made.
• At 11:24 p.m., a male reported loud music at Heman. Officers told the people to turn the music down.
Tuesday
• At 12:54 a.m., a male requested a welfare check at a bus stop. The caller said there was a female who appeared to be disoriented walking along the street. An officer talked with the person, who said she had just gotten off of the bus and was fine.
• At 6:17 a.m., an abandoned 911 call was made at Third Street. An officer talked with the callers and indicated that everything was OK.
