The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari police during the last few days. According to the reports: Wednesday l At 3:32 p.m., a female reported domestic violence at a business. There was an argument between a man and woman. The man reportedly kicked her out of the car and said he was heading to Clovis. The state police were notified. l At 6:27 p.m., a female reported an open door at Fourth Street. An officer determined the wind had probably blown the door open. l At 11:45 p.m., a male reported a theft on Smith Street. A 10-speed bike was reported stolen. Thursday l At 3:30 a.m., a female visited the department to report a theft. She said a person had stolen her checkbook, but she wouldn’t press charges if the checkbook was returned. The woman called later and said the checkbook had been recovered. l At 6:36 a.m., a male reported breaking and entering at a business. The subject did not get in, but did damage to a door. l At 3:30 p.m., a female reported vandalism at East Turner Street. The rear window of a recreational vehicle had been shot out. Friday l At 1:05 a.m., an officer reported an open door at a department store. An employee with the company wasn’t sure if anything had been taken, but that an inventory would be taken and he would notify the police if anything was missing. l At 6 a.m., a male reported larceny on Hamen. The man caught a girl in his house three days ago and he believed she had stolen medication. An unknown male returned the medicine the same day. l At 9:01 a.m., a male reported vandalism on South Park Street. The phrases “FTW” and “666” were spray painted on a truck. l At 9:34 a.m., a female requested a welfare check at an apartment complex. The caller was unable to get a hold of a resident there, but the officer made contact and said everything was fine. l At 10:40 a.m., a female reported an irate patient at a doctor’s office. The patient left before officers arrived.
