One person died in an accident Thursday morning outside of Logan. According to a release from the New Mexico State Police, Dennis Bottorff, 58, of St. Joseph, Mo. was killed from a collision of two trucks on U.S. 54. Bottorff’s truck struck the trailer of an eastbound commercial truck, according to the release, and Bottorff was not wearing his seatbelt. The occupants of the other truck were not injured. State Police said driver inattention appeared to have been a factor in the crash.
