Cooking classes offered A series of four cooking classes will be held for people with diabetes, according to a release from the Quay County Cooperative Extension Service. The free classes are three hours each and will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, Feb. 28 and March 2 in the extension office, the release said. Pre-registration is required and participants must attend all four classes. Call 461-0562. Little League Baseball meeting Sunday Quay County Little League Baseball will be holding a reorganizational meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Tucumcari Recreation Center. Child passenger week recognized The Quay County Maternal Child and Community Health Council is joining with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Ad Council and others to commemorate Child Safety Passenger Week through Saturday. The primary goal is to remind all parents and other adults that children shorter than 4-foot-9 need to be in a booster seat. For information about the week and the proper use of booster seats, visit www.boosterseat.gov Quilt group meeting Wendesdays Vintage Quilting Society will be meeting Feb. 22 and every Wednesday thereafter from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at the Senior Citizen’s Building on Third Street.
