The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the past several days. According to the reports: Monday • At 5:05 p.m., an unknown male reported a viscious dog attempting to get into his fence on South Fourth. The man said it was a pitbull who, after failing to break down the barrier, ran away with a nearby Chihuahua. Tuesday • At 6:42 a.m., an unknown person called to report a domestic violence situation on South Seventh. Police arrived to find one of the parties involved had already departed. • At 10:01 a.m., vandalism was reported on South Fifth. • At 3:38 p.m., a car stopped on Third and McGee resulted in one arrest for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. • At 2 p.m., a female came to the station to report mail fraud. Police reviewed the check she received in the mail and deemed it a gimmick. • At 6:18 p.m., a male called to report damage to property at an area motel. Police arrived to find a moving truck had struck the motel’s canopy. • At 10:04 p.m., a female called to report a domestic violence situation at an apartment complex. Police on the scene resulted in the arrest of a male subject for false imprisonment, battery and assault on a household member. The female involved filed a written statement. Wednesday • At 12:46 a.m., a female reported loud semis behind a neighborhood restaurant. Police arrived to find the trucks were leaving. • At 5:01 a.m., a male called to report a noise disturbance on East Smith, citing roosters crowing. Police on the scene issued a citation to the roosters’ owner for being over the limit for animals. • At 5:10 a.m., a structure fire was reported on West Aber. Medics and county fire units were dispatched. • At 7:38 a.m. a grass fire was reported on South Eighth.
