The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the past several days. According to the reports: Sunday • At 2:01 a.m., a car stopped on Adams led to the arrest of a male for aggravated DWI and having no insurance. • At 3:10 a.m., a female called to report a dumpster fire on South Sixth. County fire units arrived and put it out. • At 7:05 a.m., a female reported a road hazard on East Route 66. Police on the scene found a boat in the middle of the road and moved it into a nearby parking lot. • At 10:17 a.m., vehicle damage was reported on Mountain Road. Police arrived to find a trailer broke free from the car that was hauling it and needed to be towed out of the vicinity. • At 12:59 p.m., an unknown female reported vandalism to a motor home on East Turner. Police on the scene found the windshield had been shot out with a BB gun and pelted with rocks. • At 2:16 p.m., a male called to report a problem with renters on South Jackson. Police arrived to find it was a civil matter but put a special watch on the premises as requested. • At 2:30 p.m., an unknown male called to report a grass fire on Rock Island. • At 5:34 p.m., a female called to report a breaking and entering on South First. Police on the scene found several items missing, a full report of which the female would provide. • At 5:49 p.m., an unknown female reported a domestic violence situation on South Third. Police arrived to find a verbal argument. • At 7 p.m., a female reported a domestic violence situation including an assault on South Sixth. Police on the scene found a husband and wife in an argument; the latter filed a written statement and official report. • At 7:18 p.m., a male called to report larceny at a local restaurant. Police on the scene found a patron had eaten and left without paying the $16 bill. • At 8:12 p.m., an unknown female called to report fireworks near a retail establishment. Police arrived and told the subjects to stop it. • At 8:53 p.m., an unknown male reported a loud noise on High and Monroe, saying someone nearby was revving a truck engine. Police on the scene found no such noise maker. • At 10:56 p.m., a warrant check was issued for a subject at a local fast-food establishment. Police on the scene found the warrant was valid, but officials said the subject was already bonded in another city and allowed to be free. Monday • At 2:07 a.m., an unknown female reported a possible prowler on Highlands. Police arrived but found none. • At 5:49 a.m., an unknown male called to report a gas skip of $70.49 at a local truck stop.
