The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the past several days. According to the reports: Thursday At 10:47 a.m., an unwanted subject was reported at a supermarket. Police arrived and arrested the subject for trespassing. At 3:11 p.m., a female came to the station to report damage to her vehicle, some that occurred the previous day, some that happened several weeks ago. At 4:21 p.m., an unknown female reported a problem with a juvenile at a school. A report was filed. At 4:40 p.m., a male called to report a breaking and entering at a local motel. Police on the scene found the door was kicked in but nothing had been taken. At 5:02 p.m., a female called to report a domestic violence situation on South Third. Police arrived to find a verbal between two relatives and one left for the night. At 8:16 p.m., a female called from the emergency room to report a dog bite. Police arrived to find a female had been riding her bike on East Heman, which resulted in cuts and scrapes, but could not identify the dog. At 11:28 p.m., a female reported a possible prowler on South Choctaw. Police on the scene found a subject in the area but were unable to determine if he were the prowler. Friday At 2:02 p.m., a female called to report shoplifting at an area retailer. The store manager did not wish to press charges because the subject was a minor, but subject was told not return unless he intended to pay for his items. At 5:07 p.m., a female reported a breaking and entering that had already occurred on South Eighth. At 5:11 p.m., a male called to report assault and battery at a business office. No charges were pressed. At 5:24 p.m., the New Mexico State Police called to request assistance; a subject with a weapon was scaring customers in a local supermarket. The subject was taken into custody by the sheriff’s office. At 7:50 p.m., a male called to report exposure to a minor on South Adams. A report was filed. At 8:31 p.m., a car stopped on High led to one arrest for DWI. Saturday At 4:09 a.m., a male called to report a campfire near East Rankin. Police on the scene found a transient and his pet warming themselves by a fire behind the retention pond. Both were told to leave. At 10:35 a.m. a male called to report larceny on South Elder. Police arrived to find approximately $1,000 worth of tools and a pit bull had been taken. At 1:14 p.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at a local motel. Police on the scene found none. At 4:52 p.m., a female called to report her son had been threatened in a retail store parking lot. At 5:57 p.m., an unknown female reported a reckless driver near a park. Police arrived and were unable to locate such subject. At 7:54 p.m., a possible structure fire was reported at an apartment complex. Police on the scene found the fire was coming from the activity of subjects a few blocks down who had ignited a large log. Sunday At 12:50 p.m., a female came to the police station to report battery on South Third. A report was filed. At 3:11 p.m., a female reported stolen property on South Third. Police on the scene said the situation could be resolved civilly. At 5:50 p.m., a female called to report a domestic violence situation at South Rock Island. Police arrived to find one of the subjects in the dispute had already left. At 6:57 p.m., a prowler was reported on South Ninth. Police on the scene spoke with the subject; all was OK. At 8:01 p.m., a police “knock and talk” on South Third resulted in the arrest of a female for possession of methamphetamine.
