11/19 Police blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the past several days.
According to the reports:
Tuesday
At 9:40 a.m., a male reported a vandalism on South Fourth. Police on the scene found his truck had been struck with washable paint.
At 11:55 a.m., a female called from the hospital emergency room to report a dog bite. Police arrived to find a man had been bitten while fixing his vehicle at Conchas.
At 1:46 p.m., a vehicle stop on Rock Island resulted in the arrest of a male on a municipal warrant.
At 9:13 p.m., a search warrant resulted in the arrest of a juvenile for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
At 10:13 p.m., a male reported a dispute on East Smith. Police on the scene found someone had barged into the male’s home and had thrown things at him, saying he owed the subject money.
Wednesday
At 9 a.m., a female reported a possible prowler on South Jackson. Police arrived to find no such thing but put the area on special watch.
At 2:49 p.m., a theft at a local supermarket was reported. Police arrived to arrest a female for embezzlement.
At 3:57 p.m., a female called to report a suspicious vehicle on South Third. Police on the scene found a commercial vehicle hired to paint surrounding property.
At 4:29 p.m., a male reported an accident with no injuries at a convenience store. Parties exchanged insurance information.
At 7:19 p.m., a female called to report a possible runaway from a teen center. Police arrived to find the youth was not a runaway and returned individual to the center.
At 10:49 p.m., a semi was reported as running behind a local restaurant. Police on the scene told the driver to shut off the semi or leave.
Thursday
At 4:16 a.m., New Mexico State Police contacted city police for assistance in an accident on Interstate 40. Police arrived to find a single car rollover and a driver with minor injuries.
At 8:20 a.m., a male called to report larceny at a local motel. Police found the man’s laptop had been taken from his vehicle’s trunk when he stayed at the motel the night before.
At 8:33 a.m., an unknown female reported vandalism at a community office. Police arrived to find the front window had been shot at with a BB gun.
