Wednesdays and Fridays ongoing — “La Voz” Hispanic radio program airs on KTNM 1400 AM radio on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday — The Red Ribbon Campaign will hold a meeting at noon at K-Bobs. Discussion will include the haunted house. Fridays ongoing — Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF) is provided for students Kindergarten through fifth grade on Fridays when there is no school in Tucumcari or no scheduled holiday. Friday and Saturday — Heritage Dayze at the Tucumcari Historical Museum at 416 S. Adams provides activities and demonstrations that bring Quay County heritage to life. The annual event takes place from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is free. Friday through Sunday — The 13th annual Nara Visa Cowboy Poetry Gathering at the Nara Visa Community Center. (All times are CST.) Lunch at noon, Children’s program at 1 p.m., ice cream social at 5 p.m. and evening program at 7 p.m. on Friday; chuck wagon breakfast at 7:30 a.m., outdoor poetry at 2 p.m., evening program at 7 p.m. and dance afterward on Saturday; cowboy church at 10 a.m. Sunday. Sept. 28 — 13th annual Rotary Air Show, rated third best in the country, features Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, USAF A-10’s, helicopter stunts, barnstorming acrobatics, Greg Poe Air Show, Eric Beard’s Yak 54 Russian Thunder, the world’s only twin jet sailplane and a display of 40 aircraft. Gates open at 10 a.m. and shows start at noon; show includes food and merchandise vendors. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for kids 5 and under.
