The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari police during the past several days. According to the reports: Friday • At 6:43 a.m., a possible overdose of methamphetamine was reported. Subject was taken to the emergency room; police found no drugs on the person upon admittance. • At 6:25 p.m., an open door was reported at a financial company. Police arrived and shut the door. • At 6:30 p.m., a male called to report people drinking in public on East McGee. Police on the scene told the subject to take their drinking inside. • At 8:02 p.m., a possible gas leak was reported at a service station. Police arrived and secured the premises. Saturday • At 12:52 a.m., an unknown female called to report a possible domestic violence situation on East Rankin. Police arrived to find a male and female in a verbal dispute; no charges were filed. • At 1:33 a.m., an employee of a retail store called to report a cashier giving away merchandise. Police arrived and advised store staff to notify the manager of possible employee embezzlement. • At 3:09 a.m., an unknown female called to report loud neighbors on South Monroe. Police on the scene found none. • At 4:54 p.m. three juveniles were reported playing in abandoned homes on Sixth and Campbell. Police arrived and told them to go home. • At 7:45 p.m., a male called to report loud music on South Fourth. Police arrived and asked residents to turn down the music. • At 8:15 p.m., a female reported a drunk subject on Tucumcari Boulevard. Police arrived and transported the subject to a friend’s house for the night. • At 8:25 p.m., an unknown female called to report a drunk subject on West High. Officers ran a warrant check on the subject, which came back negative. An official report was filed. • At 11:29 p.m., an unknown female reported an unwanted subject in front of an organization’s headquarters. The male subject refused to leave until police arrived and took him home. Sunday • At 1:42 a.m., a male called to report a vehicle with an open door in a First Street alley. Police advised the owner of the vehicle to come to the police department the next morning if anything were missing. • At 2:06 a.m., a female reported a possible missing juvenile on East McGee. Police found the juvenile and turned the case over to state police. • At 9:53 a.m., a possible breaking and entering was reported on East Hines. Police on the scene found a broken window; it was unclear if anything were taken. • At 1:30 p.m., a male called to report a hit and run at a local truck stop. Police arrived to find a vehicle had slammed into a utility pole and the truck stop lost power. • At 4:03 p.m., staff from a local station called to report a gas skip of $30.04. • At 8:04 p.m., a possible domestic situation was reported on South Fifth. Police arrived to find a verbal dispute between two males. • At 8:26 p.m., a female called to report harassment. She said another woman was calling and harassing her. Police contacted the second female and told her to stop the phone calls. • At 10:08 p.m., a burglary was reported on South Monroe; a report was filed. • At 10:47 p.m., a vehicle stopped on Third and Main resulted in the arrest of the male driver for DWI, not having a driver’s license and speeding.
