Ida L. Martinez, 80, died Thursday, July 7, 2005, at her son’s home in Veguita near Belen. She was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Tucumcari. She had been an active member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Floyd Martinez in 1990, and a daughter, Lupe B. Martinez in 1993. She is survived by her son, Joe J. Martinez, of Veguita; grandchildren David, Nathanial and Richard Martinez, Lanette Davis, Lynda Romero, Jerimiah Martinez, Sabrina Lueras, Ginger Malone and Ida Joe Martinez; sisters Nellie Angel of Tucumcari, Lupe Mosco of Belen and sister-in-law May Linda Encinias of Belen. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anne’s with Rev. Leo Padget, pastor of St. Anne’s, officiating. Interment will be in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home in Tucumcari. Filadelfio Gallegos, 65, died Friday, July 8, 2005, in Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari following an extended illness. He was born June 11, 1940, north of Logan at Genova. He was a member of the Catholic Church. For many years, he owned and operated the Exxon station in Logan until his retirement. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife Teresa of Tucumcari; his daughters, Lorraine Maestas (and husband Ruby) of Logan, Katherine Martinez (Bennie) of Portales, Diana Howard (James) of Baytown, Texas; one son, Filadelfio Gallegos Jr. (Jennifer) of Tucumcari; six grandchildren; brothers Felix Gallegos, Lorenzo Gallegos, Miguel Gallegos, all of Tucumcari, Enrique Gallegos of Fort Worth, and Wilford Gallegos of Dallas; sisters, Guadalupe Cordova of Tucumcari, Mary Gutierrez of Midland and Carmen Garcia of Tucumcari. Cremation has taken place. Mass is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari with Rev. Leo Padget, pastor of St. Anne’s, officiating.
