Thelma Hahn Thelma Hazel Hahn, 83, of Roswell, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at her home. She was born on March 8, 1922, in Forrest, to John and Josie Walker Yeates. She married Kenneth Hahn on Nov. 11, 1939, in Clovis. She moved to Roswell in 2003. She was a teacher who taught special education at the school for the visually handicapped in Alamogordo. Family members said she was an artist and loved to paint. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a sister, Clara Yeates. Survivors include a daughter, Janie Gosselin of Roswell; a brother, Travis Yeates of House; four sisters, Lucille Throgmorton, Ida Pearl Yeates, Beatrice Bassett Johnson, and Madie Krizan, all of Clovis; two grandchildren, Lisa Lentkowski and Brian Gosselin, both of Roswell. Dale DeRaad and Richard May officiated the services. Burial was at Plain Cemetery in Plain. Pallbearers were her nephews. Arrangements were by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis. Ella Maldonado Ella Montano Maldonado, 76, of Glendale, Ariz., died Tuesday, June 14, 2005. She was born on Dec. 23, 1928, in Trementina, to Felipe and Fetilde Valverde Montano. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Helen Burson (and husband, Randy) of Glendale, Ariz.; three granddaughters, Sonja Bonney (Rob), and Ashley Burson, all of Phoenix, and Jessica Sanders (Brad) of San Antonio; two great-grandsons, Brenden and Zeke Sanders; three sisters, Hevila Sanchez of Albuquerque, Mary Sandoval of Tucumcari, and Faye Kelley of Longmont, Colo; five brothers, Cecil and David Montano, both of Las Cruces, Isaias Montano of San Meteo, Calif., Ruben Montano of Albuquerque, and Levi Montano of Belen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services are at 2 p.m. July 10 at Tucumcari Memorial park Cemetery. Arrangements were by Best Funeral Services of Peoria, Ariz. Doraeen Wiegel Doraeen Wiegel, 79, of Tucumcari, died Sunday, June 19, 2005. She was born on Jan. 17, 1926, in El Paso, Texas, to Everett and Ethel Schlintz. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tucumcari, where she served as an elder and a deacon. She was a member of the Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, helped with Meals on Wheels, and Ladies Golf Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip M. Wiegel; and her parents. Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Morris of Albuquerque; three sons, Philip Wiegel (and wife, BernaDette) of Santa Fe, C.J. Wiegel (Audrey) of Tucumcari, and Corky Brissey (Vicki) of Quincy, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.. The Rev. Iola Allender officiated the services. Burial was at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trigg Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
