Tucumcari youth, ages 1 to 18, can get a free lunch Monday through Friday until Aug. 5 at six local parks. The Eastern Plains Community Action Agency is facilitating the free lunches, according to its director of the summer lunch program, Cece Arias. “The program is federally funded,” Arias said. “It’s really a continuation of the national school lunch program. We expect to serve about 350 meals a day.” Arias said the meals must be consumed at the site, but otherwise, no identification or proof of income is required to be served a free meal. Meals are served Monday through Friday according to the following schedule: Molinas Park - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Arthur Jimenez Park - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. North Side Park - 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Kvols Park - Noon to 1 p.m. Original Town Park - 11 a.m. to noon. Dunn Park - Noon to 1 p.m.
