Ruben B. Dominguez

Ruben B. Dominguez, 71, died at his residence in Tucumcari on March 25, 2005 following an extended illness. Dominguez was born on April 16, 1933 in Montoya. He was employed as a Tucumcari police officer for a number of years. He worked as an iron worker in the Farmington area. He later moved back to Tucumcari where he worked for the City of Tucumcari until he retired. He served for a time in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jimmy Dominguez, and by sisters Freda Gutierrez and Emma Moya. Survivors include his wife Anita of Tucumcari; three daughters Roberta Segura (and husband Donny), Sarah Hittson (Gary) and Rose Lopez (Rudy) , all of Tucumcari; one son Ruben Dominguez (Liz) of Albuquerque; two brothers, Raymond Dominguez of Albuquerque and Charlie Ben Dominguez of Montoya; and brother-in-law Bernard Gutierrez of Albuquerque. Services are set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Tucumcari. Pall bearers will be Ryan Lopez, Jack Malone, Andrew Hittson, Ryan Lopez, Ruben Dominguez III and Matthew Hittson. Honorary pall bearers will be his granddaughters SueAnn Hittson, Reina Montes, Jacklyn Dominguez and Marie Hittson. Burial followed in the family plot of the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Dunn Funeral Home in Tucumcari.
