Local LDS branch changes leadership

The Tucumcari Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted stake officials who visited from Amarillo to release Hoyt Skabelund as Branch President and install new leadership at the Tucumcari church. John H. Yearout was sustained as the new branch President and he selected Freddy W. Curnutt as first counselor and Kim B. Bangerter as second counselor. Because the LDS (Mormon) Church is operated entirely by lay leadership, the new leaders as well as all of the other members serving in administrative and teaching positions do so without pay.
