Albina M. Padilla Albina M. Padilla, 80, died Aug. 21, 2004 in Amarillo. She was born March 15, 1924 in Canyon Largo. Padilla is survived by her sons, Robert Froilan Padilla of Tucumcari, Joseph Padilla (Dolly) of Tucumcari, Leroy Padilla (Mary) of Albuquerque, Edward Padilla of Albuquerque, and her daughters, Priscilla Martinez of Las Vegas, Flora Padilla (Robert Giron) of Rio Rancho, Veronica Weathers (Mike) of Buena Vista, Calif., and Clara Trujillo (Joe) of Albuquerque. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Padilla was preceded in death by her husband Luis, her parents, Manuel and Anastacia Martinez-Torres, her son John and her brother Benito Torres and great grandson Jose F. Juan Padilla. Rosary services will be held this evening at 7 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Cemetery. Henry H. Smith Henry H. Smith, 83, died at his residence Tuesday morning August 24, 2004 following an extended illness. Henry Smith was born April 10, 1921 in Tucumcari. He was retired from the City of Tucumcari where he worked in the Electrical Power Plant. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tucumcari. He served in the United States Infantry during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He is survived by his wife Leona Smith of Tucumcari, five sons; Jerry Smith (Billie) of Hobbs, Randy Smith (Linda) of Lubbock, Rex Smith (Shirley) Deming, Steve Smith (Becky) of Tucumcari and Robin (Aleta) of Tucumcari. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park.
