The following are samples of calls received by Tucumcari police within the last week. According to the reports: Jan. 6 • About 4 a.m. a 48-year-old male was arrested at the 400 block of East Turner for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing. Jan. 5 • About 8 p.m. a male called police from the local hospital and said he had been stabbed last week in Clovis. • About 5:30 p.m. a female at the 600 block of East Turner said a German Shepherd belonging to a male had gotten into the backyard. The dog was attacked, killed and partially eaten by two pit bulls belonging to another male. The dogs were picked up. Jan. 4 • About 4:30 p.m. a 30-year-old female was arrested at the 600 block of East Herman for criminal trespassing. Jan. 3 • About 12:30 p.m. a male juvenile was arrested at a local car repair shop for running away and unauthorized use of a vehicle. Jan. 2 • About 6 p.m. a male at the 1200 block of South Seventh said they had a waved at some people and a male began chasing them with a baseball bat. He said there were four people chasing him. He said he knew one of them was a female.
