James Stull James W. “Jim” Stull, 78, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003. He was born Nov. 26, 1924 in Water Valley, Ark. to Henry and Cora B. Stull. Mr. Stull moved to New Mexico with his family at the age of seven and resided in the Obar and Nara Visa community until he graduated from high school. At the early age of 17 he purchased a service station and garage in Tucumcari. He married Frances L. Fulkerson on Dec. 7, 1947. Mr. Stull was a member of the Center Street United Methodist Church in Tucumcari and also a life member of Tucumcari Elk’s Lodge #1172. Mr. Stull was preceded in death by his parents; four half brothers on his father’s side and two half brothers on his mother’s side; one sister, Mammie Lea Ayler and one brother, Norman Stull. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Burt Stull and wife Louise of Nara Visa; one sister, Ava Meador and husband Dan of Durango, Colo.; two brothers-in-law, Gordon N. Fulkerson of Tucumcari and Robert T. Fulkerson of Tulia, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Center Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Seymour will officiate. Burial will be at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. The family requests that instead of flowers memorials be made to the Center Street United Methodist Church building fund. Roy Foote Roy Foote, 83, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003 in Amarillo. He was born Dec. 3, 1919 in Orlando, Okla. Mr. Foote was an active farmer and rancher in the Tucumcari area for many years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Foote in 1998. Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Slater of Clovis, Donna Brasher of Amarillo and Mary Foote of Tucumcari; two sons, Carl Foote of Tucumcari and Donald Foote of Santa Rosa; two brothers, Rex Foote of Tucumcari and Dean Foote of Bakersfield, Calif.; three sisters, Doris Bugg of Raton, Dorothy Williams of Perry, Okla. and Clara Wiseman of Morrison, Okla.; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services were Tuesday at the Dunn Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Bill Bowman officiated. Burial followed at the family plot at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Charlie Turnbow Charlie C. Turnbow, 76, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003 in Amarillo. He was born Aug. 3, 1927 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Turnbow was a retired truck driver. He served his country with the U.S. Navy in World War II, and for the past six years has made his home in Logan. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris E. Turnbow who died Feb. 3, 1999. Survivors include son, Chuck Turnbow of Amarillo; brother, Jake Turnbow and sister, Genie Skiles both of Abeline, Texas; two grandchildren and one step grand child. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today at Dunn Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Billy Ray Thorton of Amarillo will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot of the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
