Harold Lumpee Jacobs, 71, of Berryville, Va. died Monday, June 9, 2003, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester. He was born Nov. 28, 1931 to Eugene and Emma Jacobs in Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Jacobs was in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years and served in Vietnam. He was an American Legion, VFW, DAV, Berryville Moose member and past treasurer aid board member for the American Red Cross. Mr. Jacobs married Patricia Lorraine Jacobs on May 1, 1953 in Truth or Consequences. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Melissa Kuehn of Rockville, Md.; four sons, Richard Jacobs of Berryville, Va., Michael Jacobs, of Los Gatos, Calif. Kent Jacobs of Sacramento, Calif., and Kurt Jacobs of Winchester, Va.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. July 5 at Enders and Shirley Funeral Home Chapel in Berryville, Va. The Rev. John Lock will officiate. Burial will be private and military honors will be provided by Clarke County Honor Guard. Arrangements are by Enders & Shirley Funeral Home of Berryville, Va.
