Loren Scott Loren Scott, 64, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, in the Van Ark Care Center following an extended illness. Born March 8, 1939, in Liberal, Kan., he had been a rancher in the Newkirk area. He is survived by two daughters: Tammy Lee Jackson and Melisa Lyn Sandoval, both of Albuquerque; two sons: Lanie Ray Scott, Hobbs; Gary Abner Scott, California; two sisters: Millie Patton, Logan; Judy Juarros, Colorado; two brothers: Jim Scott, Tucumcari and Jerry Scott, Florida. Ignacio Joe Narbaez Ignacio Joe Narbaez, 84, died Saturday, April 28, 2003, in the Albuquerque Manor following an extended illness. Born Feb. 1, 1919, in Solano, he was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by five sons: Ignacio Joe Narbaez and wife, Vera, Amarillo, Texas; Steven Narbaez, Loveland, Colo.; Patrick Narbaez and wife, Janice, Farmington; Herman Narbaez and wife, Denise, Phoenix; Peter Narbaez, Amarillo, Texas; two daughters: Stella Narbaez, Tucson, Ariz; Dolores Narbaez Rivera and husband, Patrick, Tucumcari; two stepdaughters: Irene Montano, Logan; Ruby Sierra, Tempe, Ariz; sisters: Luciana Montoya, Amarillo, Texas; Eumelia Sanchez, Clovis; Elmira Martinez, Tucumcari; Brothers: Benito Narbaez, Colorado; Fred Sanchez, Albuquerque; Juan Martinez, Kansas; 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Rosary is 7 p.m. today in the Dunn Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 2 p.m. Thursday in the St. Anne’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo Padget officiating. Burial will be in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richardo Martinez, Lawrence Green, Patrick Narbaez, Chris Narbaez, Matthew Martinez, Joe Martinez and Jessie Calbert. Lucia M. Crespin Lucia M. Crespin, 98, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, in the Van Ark Care Center following an extended illness. Born Aug. 7, 1904, in Gallegos, she was a member of the St. Anne’s Catholic Church and of the Nuestra Senora del Carmel Society of Logan. She is survived by her son: Max Crespin and wife, Mary; a daughter: Cecilia Madrid and husband, Consie, all of Tucumcari; two brothers: Joe Muniz, Las Vegas, Nev.; Hilario Muniz, Denver; 11 grandchildren, 14, great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perfecto Crespin, who died in 1982; two sons: Raymond in 1977, John in 2002 and a daughter: Corina Crespin Lopez in 1980; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Rosary is 7 p.m. today in the St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the St. Anne’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo Padget officiating. Burial will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Maria Anna “Annie” Apalacio Maria Anna “Annie” Apalacio, 89, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, in the Van Ark Care Center following an extended illness. Born Sept. 21, 1913, at Gallegos, she had been a longtime resident of Tucumcari. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Catholic Church and was a homemaker who loved to babysit. She is survived by two daughters: Irene Lovato and husband, Julian, Albuquerque; Dolores Rathbone and husband, Thomas, North Carolina; four sons: Facundo “Foxy” Apalacio, Tucumcari; Manuel Apalacio and wife, Lynda, Tucumcari; Johnny Apalacio and wife, Darlene; Gilbert Apalacio and wife, Sandra, all of Denver; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Rosary was Tuesday night in the Dunn Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass was this morning in the St. Anne’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo Padget officiating. Burial will follow in the Logan Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas Rathbone, Manuel Apalacio, Anthony Lovato, Foxy Apalacio, Johnny Apalacio, Julian Jaramillo, Gilbert Apalacio and Ernie Barron.
