Recap: The Coyotes outscored Tatum 13-2 in the second quarter and led by nine at halftime, then lost the lead in the third quarter and needed 3-pointers by Kyler King and Colton Gruis midway through the final period to take the lead for good in a first-round game.
Freshman Dylan Privett scored 14 points and King added 13 for the Coyotes. Dora shot 12-of-19 from the free throw line, including 7-of-10 in the fourth period, while Tatum finished 1-of-4.
Donnie Roy had a pair of 3-pointers en route to 10 points for Tatum.
Next up: The Coyotes play at rival Floyd on Thursday in the tournament semifinals.

Recap: Taylor Boone scored 22 points and Alex Varela added 20 as the Tigers closed in on the No. 2 seed in the upcoming district tournament.
Elida broke the game open with a 27-point second quarter to lead 33-15 at halftime. Jordyn Tivis added 10 points for the Tigers.
Kevin Naceanceno was the high scorer for the Eagles with seven points.
