• In goal: Senior goalkeeper Erick Ibarra finished with four saves.

• By the numbers: Portales outshot St. Michael’s 8-7.

• Sweep completed: St. Michael’s beat Portales 4-1 in the teams’ first meeting.

• Coach’s comment: “We didn’t have to make to many adjustments from last week because he played a good game against St. Micheal’s. We just didn’t have anything go our way. We missed some shots and made some mental mistakes, which lead to some early goals.” — Portales coach Brian Kirchner.

• By the numbers: Sievers’ goal was the first goal against St. Michael’s this season.

• Helpers: Portales sophomore midfielder Kaitlin Garrett had an assist.

• Coach’s comment: “Our team performed very well and it was probably one of the best games we played all season. This is the closest we’ve ever played St. Michael’s. We had a couple of breakaways and their goalie would make a save or we just missed.” — Portales coach Traci Sievers.
