Clovis Christian guard Jocelyn Swann had four 3-pointers and scored 18 points in the Lady Eagles' 39-27 District 4-1A victory over San Jon on Thursday night at the CCS gym.

Boys

• Clovis Christian erased a five-point halftime deficit to turn back San Jon 50-44 Thursday night in a District 4-1A matchup at the CCS gym.

The Coyotes opened a 23-18 lead at the break, but CCS (4-18, 2-3 district) outscored them 19-11 in the third quarter to take a 37-34 lead.

The Eagles maintained it the rest of the way, getting two free throws each from eighth-grader Kendall Naceanceno and senior Skylar White in the final minute to nail down the win.

Senior Cordy Wilhoit had 13 points and sophomore Kevin Naceanceno and Kendall Naceanceno added 12 apiece for the Eagles. San Jon (5-13, 0-5) also put three players in double figures — sophomore guard Colton Strand with 17, junior forward Chase Thompson with 11 and sophomore guard Justin Pullen with 10.

Girls

• Senior guards Julia Roberts and Jocelyn Swann combined for all the scoring as Clovis Christian took the girls encounter with San Jon 39-27.

Roberts finished with 21 points for the Lady Eagles (6-16, 4-3), while Swann added four 3-pointers and 18 points. CCS broke away from a 13-13 halftime tie by outscoring the Lady Coyotes 16-4 uin the third stanza.

Senior center Tracy Foote led San Jon (6-13, 1-5) with 12 points.
