The Clovis High softball team will not be making the trip to Las Cruces, as the Lady Wildcats were not selected for the Class 5A state tournament.

The 16-team field includes district rivals Carlsbad, as the second overall seed behind Cibola, and Hobbs, seeded 13th.

Clovis went 7-16 overall, including a 2-6 record in District 4-5A.
