FORT SUMNER — Host Fort Sumner claimed team victories in Thursday’s Eastern Plains Athletic Conference track meet.

The Vixens won 14 events, including all four relays, to dominate the girls’ field with 160 points — twice the total of second-place Melrose, which held off Texico (77) for third place.

The Fort Sumner boys, meanwhile, used their depth to pull a 136-133 victory over Texico, which won nine events, including three relays. Dathan McWorter won the discus with a toss of 130-5 1/2, and the 1,600 relay posted a time of 3:33 for Texico.

Bree Lucero was high-point individual on the girls side with 23.5 points, while Taylor Smith had 26 of Logan’s 43 points to help the team finish fourth behind Melrose (64).
