The New Mexico Activities Association has released brackets for Classes 1A and 2A this afternoon.

Local girls teams playing in Tuesday's second-round games:

• Elida is the sixth seed, and will face Gallup Catholic in a 2 p.m. game at Bernalillo High School.

• Fort Sumner is the eighth seed, and will face Cimarron in a 7:15 p.m. contest, also at Bernalillo High.

• Defending Class 2A champion Texico is seeded first, and will play Penasco at 3 p.m. at the Santa Ana Star Center.

• Portales faces West Las Vegas in an 11:30 a.m. game at The Pit.

• Clovis faces Cibola in a 9:45 a.m. game at the Santa Ana Star Center.
