When: 7 p.m. today.
Radio: KCLV-FM 99.1
Last meeting: The Lady Cats erased a four-point deficit with a 27-4 fourth-quarter run — shutting Hobbs out from the field — in a 52-33 win on Feb. 6 at The Rock.
Notes: Hobbs has only played once since losing in Clovis, and it was last Friday when the Lady Eagles were stunned in a 42-23 loss at Carlsbad. … Clovis has clinched the district’s regular-season title and will host the tournament championship game next weekend, but coach Jeff Reed wants his team to keep its edge. The Lady Cats have won 12 in a row and 17 of their last 18. … Reed said Hobbs is a better team at home, noting the Lady Eagles have beaten Roswell and Las Cruces at home and dropped a three-point decision to Mayfield. “They’re a whole different team on their home court,” he said. “They believe they can beat us, especially on their homecourt.” … Lady Cats senior Brittany Johnson scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the earlier meeting, while junior Antiesha Brown added 19 points and seven boards. Senior forward Kaitlin Gray was Hobbs’ lone double-figure scorer with 10 points.
