ROSWELL — Jesus Davalos scored a season-high 19 points as Portales stayed unbeaten in District 4-3A play with a 61-30 win over New Mexico Military Institute.
Nick Bliss added 10 points for Portales (15-7, 5-0 district( for the third-ranked Rams.
Thomas Wade led the Colts (9-12, 0-4) with eight points.
“We moved to 5-0 in district play and I was proud of our defense because we held them to 30 points,” Portales coach Mark Gallegos said. “This is something the team takes pride in.”
