LOVINGTON  — Kenzie Black hit two late 3-pointers as rallied to beat Portales 27-25 Friday night and take over the early lead in District 4-3A.

Portales coach Clay Stout said Lovington came prepared and caught them off guard.

Macy Mitchell scored nine points for the Lady Rams (11-10, 2-1 district) and Dallas Russell added seven. Mystica Perez led Lovington (17-6, 3-0) with eight points and Black finished with six.
