Impact:
The Wolverines advance to next week’s Class 2A state championship game against either Lordsburg or Dexter, who play today at Dexter.
Records: Texico 11-0, Santa Rosa 8-3.
Difference: Seth Bailey scored twice for the Wolverines while Mario Posada rushed for 43 yards and caught a game-tying, 71-yard touchdown pass from Brett Anderson late in the third quarter.
Of note: Texico won for the second time this season at Santa Rosa. In a District 2-2A game in October, the Wolverines beat the Lions 28-14.
Difference-makers: Anderson threw a 10-yard TD pass to Bailey in overtime for Texico. Then, on fourth down from the 1, Anderson, Posada and Lucas Walthers combined to stop a Santa Rosa sweep for no gain to end the game.

Impact:
The Mules advance to a third-round (quarterfinal) game next week against Clyde (11-1), to be played at Woolfforth at a time to be announced.
Records: Muleshoe 12-0, Littlefield 11-1.
Difference: Muleshoe dominated the Wildcats statistically, outgaining them 435-188.
Difference-makers: Senior QB Wes Wood threw his 55th and 56th touchdown passes of the season for the Mules, while cousin Lane Wood ran for 123 yards and a pair of scores.
Of note: Senior WR Victor Vasquez caught one of the TD passes from Wes Wood, and finished with eight receptions for 149 yards. … The Mules gained a measure of revenge after being eliminated from the playoffs in the first round by Littlefield in each of the last two seasons.
