HOBBS — Senior Izzy Miranda led a strong Clovis High boys performance and the Wildcats claimed the team title Thursday in the Hobbs Invitational cross country meet.
Miranda led a field of 63 runners, posting a tiime of 15 minutes, 13 seconds as the Cats put six runners in the top 10. Clovis finished with 26 points to 34 for the runnerup host Eagles in the nine-school event.
Clovis’ girls finished third out of five full teams with 74 points. Odessa Permian took the team title with 33 points to 48 for Odessa High.
Senior Caitlin Waters took individual honors, running a time of 18:31 for the Lady Wildcats.
Clovis squads return to action on Thursday in the Ruidoso Invitational.
