Sophomore Seth Zarate came in sixth, junior Justin Netcher was seventh, sophomore Jaron Morgin ninth and sophomore Ben Reed 11th. Carlsbad’s Nico Barrera was the individual champion with a time of 15:43. Junior Caitlin Waters led the CHS girls, finishing third in 19:44.
