The following candidates filed Tuesday for the March 6 election, according to City Clerk Christine Dougherty.

District 1:

• Antonio J. Apodaca: incumbent

• Dora Salinas-McTigue

District 2:

• Jimmy R. Sandoval: incumbent

• Howard D. Littell

• Agnes T. Arellano

• Amy J. Guiterrez

District 3

• James L. Witcher: incumbent

• George Aragon

• Daniel Lopez

Philip M. Preciado withdrew his candidacy Wednesday, just 24 hours after he had signed up as a candidate for the District 3 commission seat.  

Dougherty said write-in candidates can still file on Jan. 17 but their name will not appear on the ballot.
