Fifty-two Quay County 4-Hers spent the week of June 1 competing in county 4-H contests that they have been studying for and practicing over the past few months. Cloverbuds are children under 9 and they do not compete but are allowed to try contests. Novice 4-Hers are 9-to-11 years old and Junior 4-Hers are 12 and 13. These 4-Hers will prepare to compete in district contests in Artesia on June 22. Senior 4-Hers are 14-to-19 years old and will be competing in state competitions in July.
