The Jaxx

The USSSA trip baseball team the Jaxx brought home a second-place trophy for their first trounament played this season in Phoenix. The team traveled to El Paso, Texas the week of April 30 for a tournament. They also traveled to Denver and brought home the championship trophy. The team is made uf of nine-and-ten-year-old boys who have played in the city league in Albuquerque. Eight-year-old Joshua Thomas is the youngest boy on the team and is the son of Thomas and Lisa Apodaca of Albuquerque and the grandson of Rudy and Mary Esther Apodaca of Tucumcari. The team would like to thank all those who supported them with their fundraiser.

Reba Welch and Mark Benavidez invite you to share in their celebration as they exchange wedding vows and begin their life together July 2 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Tucumcari. A reception will follow at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall.
