Local VFW post placing flags

VFW Post 2528 will be honoring our veterans by placing flags at the cemetery and is seeking assistance from the general public. We will meet at the cemetery at 7:30 a.m. on Monday. Bring gloves and a hammer.VFW will hold a Veterans Day ceremony at the cemetery on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. Flags will be picked up on Nov. 12 and, again, we ask for help in picking them up. Thank You.

Local organization holding service

A program to honor veterans and presently serving military personnel will be held Sunday at 1:30 pm at Veteran’s Park on Main Street next to the Tucumcari chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The DAR holds its service and wreath-laying before Veterans Day so as not to conflict with the VFW Post 2528 program. Everyone is invited to attend.
