The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department.
Tuesday
l At 8:01 a.m., a female on east Main Street requested an officer meet with her because her vehicle was keyed during the night.
l At 9:38 a.m., several 911 calls reported an accident with injuries involving a single vehicle rollover in the eastbound lane of Interstate 40 along the construction area at Palomas.
l At 9:48 a.m., a female reported to the Quay County Sheriff’s Office that a .22 long rifle had been stolen from a residence on Quay Road 36.
l At 10:27 p.m., the San Jon Fire Department received a call reporting a fire at a residence 12 miles north of San Jon on Highway 469. The San Jon Rural Unit responded and the fire was contained.
Wednesday
l At 6:54 a.m., a female reported that her husband’s truck had been broken into on east Aber Avenue and a stereo was taken from the dash.
l At 8:39 a.m., a male reported that three of his vehicles parked on east Aber Avenue were damaged or items were taken from them while he was at work.
l At 11:30 a.m., a female reported the theft of medication from her mailbox on south Rock Island Street. An officer advised that she come to the Tucumcari Police Department to make a report.
l At 2:19 p.m., a male reported vandalism to his garage on south Third Street. The caller said a window had been broken.
l At 4:43 p.m., a male employee of a business on Route 66 Boulevard reported a shoplifting incident. The caller said a female subject drank a bottle of chocolate milk and said the male subject she was with would pay for it. The male subject tried to pay with a check that did not have his name on it.
l At 5:15 p.m., a male reported to the Quay County Sheriff’s Office that someone had backed into another person’s vehicle on north State Highway 469 in San Jon. The caller said there was damage to the paint and the parties involved exchanged personal and insurance information.
Thursday
l At 2:42 a.m., an anonymous caller reported loud music coming from an upstairs apartment on west Sunset Avenue. An officer advised that the music was turned down.
l At 10:51 a.m., a male reported that the water tower on Eleventh Street had been vandalized. An officer advised that the well house and tank had been sprayed with brown and black spray paint.
l At 1:31 p.m., a female came to the Tucumcari Police Department to speak to an officer in reference to a female subject calling her and harassing her and spreading rumors about her. An officer advised the reporting person to have her phone number changed.
l At 8:52 p.m., an anonymous caller reported people yelling and a possible fight on south Apple Street. An officer advised there was no fight, just loud music. The subjects agreed to turn down the music.
l At 10:05 p.m., an anonymous employee from a business on east Route 66 Boulevard requested that the police remove a male subject who was sitting in front of the business asking for money.
