On Saturday April 26 graduate students from the College of Architecture at the University of New Mexico will be at the Tucumcari Convention Center to show the community the work they have developed during this past semester for our downtown community.
The students have been developing concepts for our county court house, the railroad station and our downtown streetscapes. Some of the work they have developed maybe used as part of our downtown master plan which will begin development within the next month or so.
“My hope is that we can get a large number of community members to come and review these images and ideas developed by the graduate students from the university.” Said David Buchen, Executive Director of Tucumcari Main Street. “We really need the input from our citizens as we begin the work of rebuilding our downtown.”
The students are led by Dr. David S Henkel, Jr, Director Community and Regional Planning Program at the School of Architecture and Planning, University of New Mexico. (505-277-5050).
