Services: 7 p.m., Tuesday, a rosary will be recited at Saint Anne's Catholic Church. At 7 p.m., Wednesday graveside services will be at Newkirk, N.M., Felipe E. Lopez, 75, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Lopez was born in Newkirk, N.M., on Dec. 10, 1931. He moved to Tucumcari as a young boy where he lived out the rest of his life as a painter, handyman and gardener. Mr. Lopez was best known around town for his hot chili and ristras. He is survived by his wife, Senida Marquez Lopez, of 48 years, a son, Domicilio (Leona) Lopez of Portales, a daughter, Maria (Fred) Sena of Las Vegas, N.M., a son, Ralph Lopez, of Tucumcari, eight grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his parents, Domicilio and Manuelita Lopez, and his brother, Abolfo Lopez. Robert Welch is officiating at both services.
