G. Joe Greenwood

Services: 7 p.m., Sunday a rosary will be recited at the Dunn Memorial Chapel in Tucumcari. At 11 a.m. on Monday a mass of resurrection will be celebrated at the St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari. G. Joe Greenwood, 91, died on Monday, May 7, 2007, at his home in Pamplico, S.C., following an extended illness. Mr. Greenwood is a former resident of Tucumcari and Logan. He was a veteran of WW II and served in the U.S. Navy as a seaman first class. For many years, he had been a truck driver and he was also a retired safety inspector from Steer Tank Lines. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Mr. Greenwood and his wife, Juanita, moved in 1973 to Tucumcari from Albuquerque. In 1985, the Greenwoods moved to Logan. Fifteen years later, they moved to Pamplico. He was preceded in death by Juanita Greenwood in 1992. Surviving Mr. Greenwood are his wife, Odessa Greenwood, Pamplico, a son, George Greenwood of Tucumcari, and daughters, Louise Satterfield of Conchas Dam and Trudy Pyshny of Arkansas, 24 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren. Leo Padget will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Joe Greenwood, Paul Greenwood, Dennis Satterfield, Jeromie Steinback, Bobby Southerland, Gary Greenwood. Interment will take place in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
