D.L. “Pete” Bogard

Services: At 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday there will be visitation at the family's home, 1806 Talon Court, Keller, Texas. At 3 p.m., Monday, services at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, Colleyville, Texas. At 2 p.m., Thursday there will be a service at the First Baptist Church of Tucumcari. D.L. "Pete" Bogard, 55, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007, after fighting cancer. Mr. Bogard was born Sept. 27, 1951 to Goldie and the late Fred Bogard. Following his father's footsteps, he owned and managed several dealerships in the Metroplex and Amarillo, Texas. He spent much time mentoring and teaching others the car business. Later, he partnered with his son, Blake, at Texas Auto Wholesale. An avid aviator and boater, he enjoyed many days in the skies and on the water. Pete was a kind, loving, gentle, patient man who loved life, family and friends, his family said. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. James Vestal, Mary Peterson, Melissa Thacker and Dee Pruitt. Mr. Bogard was preceded in death by his father, Fred. Survivors include his wife, Connie; mother, Goldie Bogard; children, Blake (Kelly) Bogard, Jill Bogard, Shelley (Bill) Mayfield, Kelley (Jake) Pemberton and Christy, Stacey and Jordan Feucht; sisters, Kathy Segura and Carol Riddle; grandchildren, Kaylee and J.P. Mayfield, Lanham Manahan, Brenham Pemberton, Boston Bogard, Regan and Ryleigh Ingle and Dylan Feucht; and his "fur children," Pepper, Lexie and Harley. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to www.prostate-cancer.org. Arrangements are by Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home of Colleyville.
