05-07-08: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari  Police Department.  According to reports:

Friday
l At 8:01 a.m., a female at a business located on South First Street reported someone possibly breaking into one of the fuel pumps.
l At 8:10 a.m., a female requested an officer to make a report in reference to some bad checks that had been deposited into an account.
l At 11:11 a.m., a female came into the Police Department to report a stolen cell phone.
l At 3:41 p.m., an anonymous caller reported two juveniles skateboarding on the exit 332 off ramps off of I-40. The officer reported that the juveniles were just leaving and were using the sidewalks.
l At 4:25 p.m., an anonymous caller reported an 8-year-old boy walking barefoot on the East bound off ramp of I-40. The officer located the child and requested that CYFD be contacted.
l At 5:26 p.m., a female called to report that sometime the evening before she heard something behind her home located on South Fourth Street. The next morning she and her son discovered that a 20-foot aluminum ladder was missing.
l At 5:54 p.m., an anonymous caller reported that someone had taken the Dunn Park sign down and had painted "die dras" on it.
l At 8:20 p.m., a female called to report she had sold a washer and dryer and the party that bought them would not pay her for them. The officer advised that this was a civil matter and for the second party to make arrangements with the first party that evening.
l At 10:43 p.m., a male reported hearing glass breaking as he was sleeping in his home on South First Street. When he went through the house he noticed a rock had been thrown through a window and the back gate was also open.

Saturday
l At 12:59 a.m., a female  reported she was being followed. Officers advised that they would keep a watch on her home on South Eighth Street.
l At 3:11 a.m., a male reported a stolen vehicle on South College Street.
l At 1:17 p.m., an anonymous caller reported seeing a suspicious subject, on South Ninth Street, loading  items into the trunk of a  Ford.
l At 4:35 p.m., Logan Police Department called in about two women who had arguing since the night before. The officer advised that they should have no contact with each other.
l At 5:26 p.m., a male requested an officer at his house on East McGee in reference to his vehicle being vandalized.
l At 7:28 p.m., an officer advised that there was grafitti on a building located on West Tucumcari Boulevard. He also advised that the word "bloods" was written in big red letters along with other various things.
l At 7:31 p.m., an employee of a truck terminal located on Mountain Road called to report a vehicle parked in the handicapped area and the vehicle had no handicapped information on it.   
Sunday
l At 12:36 p.m., a male requested an officer to a golf course in reference to some vandalism. The officer advised that some flags were missing from some of the holes, but were recovered the next morning.
l At 2:33 p.m., a male   reported that someone had vandalized his fence on East Laughlin Street. The officer advised that there was very little damage done.
l At 6:13 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a naked child running around outside on South Third Street.
